Business Administration for Occupational Pensions (UAS)
The Study Programme:
The Business Administration for Occupational Pensions (UAS) study programme is one of the oldest and most renowned educational programmes in the field of pension provision in Germany. This continuing education programme was created in 2003 by Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and the CAMPUS INSTITUT in Oberhaching. In 2022, Deutsche Maklerakademie (DMA) took over the CAMPUS INSTITUT and transferred it into the “CAMPUS INSTITUT die DMA Hochschulmarke”. Distinguished and highly relevant specialist lecturers with an extensive academic background teach up-to-date content in the field of occupational pensions – from experts for experts.
The programme targets specialists in the field of occupational pensions from different sectors and in different roles who already have previous qualifications and several years of professional experience. This includes employees and managers from the insurance industry as well as from HR departments of medium-sized and large companies. Many students are also tax consultants and lawyers intending to supplement and deepen their pension fund knowledge at university level.
Small learning groups guarantee an intensive transfer of knowledge and provide students with the opportunity to contribute with their own experience and explore their own questions.
The degree in Business Administration for Occupational Pensions (UAS) can be completed in three semesters while working.
This includes the following learning objectives: basics of tax law and labour law, annual financial statements and financial mathematics, detailed and up-to-date specialist knowledge in all implementation methods for company pension schemes, including changes in connection with the German Law on Strengthening Occupational Pensions (Betriebsrentenstärkungsgesetz).
As the programme primarily reflects the German insurance landscape, all courses are held in German.
Study Programme Objective:
After completing the programme, graduates receive an independent university certificate under public law and 30 ECTS credits. Parts of the programme also count towards the further continuing education requirement in accordance with Section 34d of the German Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act and are confirmed as IDD-compliant continuing education time with the corresponding certificate.
Labour Market Qualifications / Career Prospects:
New students often enrol in our programme not because of our advertising campaigns, but because of the referral marketing by our current and former students. It is therefore no exaggeration to say that our graduates can look forward to excellent career prospects, including management positions in the insurance and pension industries, for example. The degree is also an attractive additional qualification in the field of human resources or for lawyers and tax consultants. Self-employed occupational pension consultants also benefit from a clearer and thus optimized positioning.
Graduates of the Business Administration for Occupational Pensions (UAS) programme not only enjoy excellent career prospects in the field of occupational pensions, but also become part of a first-class professional and industry-related alumni network.
