Comparative Studies of the Economics of the North American and European Sports Systems

Markus Kroell welcomed the students of this year's Maymester Program to Remagen. In an introductory session, the US students' ideas and background knowledge concerning professional sports in Europe and vice versa were exchanged. Students analysed the questions and issues discussed in a EU Commission audit concerning professional sports and met in their German-American teams to finalise the presentation projects that had been started online before the beginning of the seminar.

Thus, the students were encouraged to get a better understanding of the sports sectors in Europe and the United States.

This module was part of an intensive study program for Part I of the International Summer School Program organised by Coastal Carolina University, HS Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and RheinAhrCampus Remagen.
