A chapter to remember
Elda from Albania, Winter Semester 2023/2024
Hello everyone! I'm Elda Halili, a Business Informatics student from Tirana, Albania. The last five and a half months have whisked me away on a unique journey as an exchange student and intern at RheinAhrCampus in Germany. It's been a collage of connections with friends from Ukraine, India, South Korea, Jordan, Georgia, and of course, Germany.
One of the highlights of my stay was celebrating Christmas with a German family. This unique experience not only brought me closer to their traditions but also allowed me to immerse myself in the festive spirit. It was a heartwarming experience that made me feel a part of their close-knit community.
Despite the chilly weather, my travels through German cities and nearby countries were a symphony of exploration.
A significant part of my journey involved delving into the German language. Learning Deutsch not only added a valuable skill to my repertoire but also opened doors to deeper connections with the local community. It was an enriching experience that added a linguistic dimension to my cultural exploration. Each interaction has been a window into a different world, fostering global friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
This Erasmus experience has been transformative, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and prompting self-discovery. In these months, I discovered more about myself and witnessed the beauty that lies outside our comfort zones. It's been a revelation.
As I reflect on this chapter of my life, I realize that this journey has been a mosaic of experiences, each contributing to my personal and academic development. The friendships formed, the traditions embraced, and the lessons learned will forever be etched in my memory. Being at RheinAhrCampus made me see and appreciate how many different and beautiful things there are all around the world.
In essence, my Erasmus adventure has been a symphony of cultures, a celebration of traditions, and an exploration of self.
