Dreams Come True
Aynur from Azerbaijan, Summer Semester 2019
Hallo zusammen!
My name is Aynur. I am from Azerbaijan. I have always wanted to come to Germany and have a chance to study here which came true a few months ago. It was a great opportunity for me to develop my skills and be friends with people from all around the world. I have already spent 5 months in Germany and I can say that I enjoyed being here in a calm, cozy place among very friendly people. Unlike my home city, Remagen is calm and smaller, but I got used to it very quickly. I have never lived alone in another country for this long which was a challenging experience for me especially in a country where you don’t know the language well. Luckily everybody here knows English as a second language and communicates well. They are very helpful you can’t get lost. During this semester, I took different classes from different lecturers. It was a great chance to have lessons from guest lecturers, I enjoyed every single second. It was challenging on the other hand because I learned a lot of new things about Marketing, Business Law, and Business Simulation which will help me in my future career. The most exciting part of being an Erasmus participant is to know a lot of friends. I made a lot of international and local friends. They made my stay unforgettable here. We traveled a lot, had great times together. Now I know a lot of cultures, the cultures even I have never heard of. The system at university was different from my university. At some classes, they use online platforms as OLAT, Moodle which is easier for students to follow the content and the classes even they don’t attend. While I was an intern at Sprachen/Internationales I had a chance to be a course assistant and work in Moddle, a learning platform, which was amazing for example adding weekly summaries, managing the platform, etc.
Thank you for making my dreams come true, RheinAhrCampus.
