Experiences at RheinAhrCampus
Thomas from Finland, Summer Semester 2015
I have both good experiences, and things I feel could be improved upon, when I think of Remagen’s RheinAhrCampus.
I found the courses at RheinAhrCampus useful towards my degree programme. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take a look at Masters Courses to see what they will be like in the future. In truth I found the Masters courses most helpful and insightful.
The Wohnheim was a suitable place of accommodation for an exchange student. I felt it fit the necessary criteria of an exchange student for the time of my stay.
I found a very international atmosphere amongst the students, and understood that most of them were quite receptive of exchange students. However I feel there are a few things considering the logistical side that could be improved upon. One is the interface MyStudy. It is not in English, and thus is a slight hassle when it comes to signing up for courses etc. Most international universities have the programs in more than one language, so I do not see a reason as to why it can’t be done. The same could be said for most of the technology related situations, such as printing etc, but I feel that the enrolment program is something more important, and the people at RheinAhrCampus were very helpful during my stay there.
