Lesson learned, improving myself and acquiring a new language

As an international student from Bhutan, I had the privilege of joining the Summer Semester at Remagen in Germany. The experience has been truly remarkable and unforgettable. The weather was good, and unlike the winter semester, I could do a lot more. Personally, the summer semester was a lot more enjoyable because of this advantage. One of the key highlights of my time in Remagen was making friends with people from different countries.

The international community at the Sprachen International was as diverse as it could get. I had friends from various parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. The opportunity to interact and share experiences with them was an enriching experience. I enjoyed learning about their cultures, traditions and customs; and sharing mine with them. I also made friends with Germans, who were equally friendly and welcoming. My German language proficiency improved a lot because of the regular conversations I had with them. They helped me in improving my German grammar, pronunciation and use of idioms. I also got to know more about the German way of life through them.

Apart from making friends, the internship at Sprachen International was a life-changing experience. I learned so many things that I could not have learned in Bhutan. The internship experience was an opportunity to work with a diverse group of people and help them learn the German language. It was interesting to see the different teaching methodologies used by instructors and how they interacted with students. The experience improved my communication skills, time management, and a sense of responsibility.

Additionally, during my free time, I had the opportunity to explore Remagen and its surroundings. I visited the beautiful river Rhine and the surrounding hills. I hiked the nearby hills and enjoyed the panoramic views of the lush green valley. I also visited the town's cultural and historical landmarks, which were a great source of inspiration. The experience of being in a new place, surrounded by nature, and culture was a refreshing experience.

Overall, the summer semester at Remagen was an unforgettable experience. The opportunity to make new friends, learn from different cultural backgrounds, and explore a new place was a life-changing experience. The internship experience added to my growth, and the knowledge and skills I gained will stay with me for a long time. I am grateful for the chance to have experienced the good life in Remagen during the summer semester.
