Prof. Lucie Thibault (Brock University) 2017
Sports Management from an international perspective
It was a pleasure for our Faculty of Business and Social Sciences to welcome Prof. Dr Lucie Thibault from Brock University as a visiting lecturer. Prof. Thibault is an internationally renowned researcher with research interests such as the Canadian sport system, government involvement in sport, sport policy, interorganizational relationships in public and nonprofit sport, strategy and organizational change, athlete involvement in the governance of sport organizations as well as global issues in sport management.
Her publications include numerous books (both as author and editor) as well as journal articles in various leading journals in her fields. She was editor of the "Journal of Sport Management" and received the "Earle F. Zeigler Lecture Award" in 2008.
Brock University is a long-standing partner university of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. Many students and lecturers of our university have already spent time in Canada on research projects, study abroad semesters and as visiting scholars. Prof. Thibault's visit to our university was embedded into the exchange activities in the framework of the in the context of ERASMUS+ mobility with partner countries.
Prof. Thibault taught two international electives during the first teaching term of the Summer Semester 2016:

(M.A. in Sports Management)
In addition, she represented Brock University during our International Week 2017 and offered a workshop to the participants of our Summer School Program.
