Prof. Scott Henderson (Brock University) 2017
Special Aspects of Marketing / Communication, Research & Critical Thinking Skills
What an opportunity for the students in our Faculty of Business and Social Sciences: Associate Prof. Dr. Scott Henderson from Brock University joined the faculty team as a visiting lecturer. Prof. Henderson has visited our campus several times - both as an ambassador of our ERASMUS+ KA 107 student and faculty exchange program and as a lecturer during our International Weeks and our MCD seminars.
Brock University is a long-standing partner university of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. Many students and lecturers of our university have already spent time in Canada on research projects, study abroad semesters and as visiting scholars. Prof. Henderson's visit to our university was part of the exchange activities in the framework of the in the context of ERASMUS+ mobility with partner countries.
Prof. Henderson taught two international electives during the first teaching term of the winter semester:
- Tuesday, 11:45-15:45, Communication, Research and Critical Thinking Skills (B 07b), Room A013
(M.A. in Business Administration) - Wednesday, 8:15-11:30, Special Aspects of Marketing - Cultural Industries (B 51), Room A013
(B.A. in Business Administration)
The participants of these electives were able to develop their English speaking and writing skills - and they enjoyed the experience of working on a wide range of creative and challenging topics both in class and for their assignment.
In addition, Prof. Henderson contributed to a wide range of academic projects and offered a study abroad information session with a focus on Studying in Canada. This way, he also helped to foster the student exchange activities between our universities! Thanks for adding a Canadian perspective to our campus life!
